I'm Elijah Langhorne

 

I’m a business owner, consultant, and operator focused on helping entrepreneurs build companies that actually work.

I started in the trades, built and scaled a contracting business, and successfully exited after years of hands-on work in the field. Along the way, I learned what most business owners eventually run into—the problem isn’t effort, it’s structure.

Since then, I’ve earned my MBA, become FRAP-certified, and developed systems that help owners fix the math behind their business—pricing, referrals, average ticket, and frequency—so they can stop being the hardest-working employee in their own company.

I work with business owners one-on-one and inside structured group environments, helping them apply these systems in real time—so they’re not just learning, they’re actually building something that works.

I’m also a published author and the founder of ForgePoint, where I help business owners refine, build, lead, and multiply what they’ve been entrusted with.

My Story

I didn’t start in business—I started in service.

I spent seven years in the U.S. Air Force as a Security Forces Airman, with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. That season shaped how I think about pressure, responsibility, and leadership—but it also came with a cost.

After transitioning out, I found myself dealing with PTSD and trying to figure out what life and purpose looked like on the other side of the military.

That process led me to Mighty Oaks, where I not only found healing—but eventually stepped into serving other veterans as a volunteer and facilitator. Helping other men work through their struggles gave me a deeper understanding of leadership, identity, and what it actually means to rebuild something that feels broken.

At the same time, I was building my own business.

Like most owners, I started by doing everything myself—working long hours, solving every problem, and trying to grow through effort. And like most owners, I eventually hit a wall.

The business was growing… but it still depended on me for everything.

Why I Do It

I began focusing on what actually drives a business—not just activity, but structure.

By fixing pricing, increasing customer value, building referral systems, and creating repeat business, everything started to change.

Revenue grew.
Profit improved.
And the business stopped relying on me to survive.

For the first time, I realized something that shifted everything:

My business exists to serve me—not the other way around.

That meant more than just making money.
It meant having the clarity and freedom to be present for what actually matters.

That experience became the foundation for what I now do through ForgePoint Consulting.

Today, I work with business owners who are stuck in the same place I was—working hard, carrying everything, and wondering why it still feels harder than it should.

Because the problem usually isn’t effort.

It’s structure.

And when you fix that, you don’t just grow your business—
you get your life back.
